About Us

Sherry Lewis

Our long arm quilter is Sherry Lewis, who lives in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania.  Sherry, who is involved in all phases of crafts and needlework, teaches quilting and other crafts and has been a long-time judge at local quilt and craft shows.

Sherry began her long-arm career on a KenQuilt machine in 1992.  At that time machine quilting was not a very accepted form of quilting and very little assistance was available (i.e. you learned from your mistakes and solved your own problems).  My how times have changed!  As an attendee of MQX—Machine Quilters' Exposition) she is continually learning from the experts of long-arm quilting, while sharing her knowledge with others.

Currently operating an APQS hand-guided Millenium machine, Sherry is very proud of the awards received by her customers' quilts—especially when one quilt was awarded not only “Best in Division, but “Best in Show” at the New Jersey State Quilt Show.

Widowed in 1998, Sherry is the mother of three daughters and the grandmother to three girls and a boy.

She is a member of the Creative Machine Quilters' Guild, the Heart in Hand Quilt Guild and the Eastern Pennsylvania Bead Society.

Beatta Cimo

My name is Beatta Cimo and I live in Drums, PA with my husband of 40 years.  I have two great sons, two wonderful daughters-in-laws and four grandchildren whom I adore more than anything.  In case you were wondering where my name originated, well, it is an old family name and it is of Latin origin.  It is derived from the Beatitudes, meaning blessed.  It was my mother’s middle name and now it is my youngest granddaughter’s middle name.

I was taught the basics of sewing when I was in junior high school.  I really enjoyed working on a skirt for my school project, especially after seeing it come out so well.  It was not until I was married and my husband bought me my first Singer sewing machine, though, that I really got involved in sewing.  That Singer sewing machine lasted me over 30 years and I am sure it is still going strong!

My first quilting project was in 1998 when someone at our church was offering a lesson and a project for a starred table runner.  I thought I would sign up to see if I would be interested in quilting.  Well, I loved it and I knew it was something that I would continue to do.  I am sure all quilters have heard the old saying, “So much fabric, so little time.”
